Community rules

Keep it something you’d show your family

Gather is a place for groups of people who trust each other. These rules apply to every post, reply, group, and profile — public or private.

  1. Family-friendly, always. No sexual or explicit content, nudity, or innuendo of any kind.
  2. No violence. No threats, gore, glorification of harm, or dangerous “challenges”.
  3. No hate or harassment. No attacks or slurs targeting race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, or disability. No bullying. Disagree with ideas, not with people’s worth.
  4. Nothing illegal. No drug sales, weapons, fraud, or piracy. Content that sexualizes minors results in an immediate permanent ban and a report to authorities.
  5. No spam or scams. No advertising, MLM, get-rich schemes, or phishing. Share what you love, not what you’re selling.
  6. Respect privacy. Don’t share anyone’s personal details without their consent, and don’t take private group conversations outside the group.
  7. Be who you are. No impersonating other people. You must be at least 13 to use Gather.

How this is enforced: content from new members is automatically reviewed before it becomes visible to others, and anything questionable goes to a human moderator. Established members post directly, but content that breaks the rules is removed whenever it’s found. Serious or repeated violations get accounts banned — and because membership is built on invitations, inviting someone who is banned for abuse can affect your own account. To appeal a decision, email mail@modest-apps.com.
